IFPRI and FAO convened a virtual meeting of the Advisory Council on July 24, 2018 to give updates on the conference, receive advice on the conference program, and together define the success of the event. Members of the Advisory Council offered valuable suggestions, including the need to elevate the importance of addressing obesity and the multiple burdens of malnutrition; emphasizing data and metrics throughout the program; and focusing on vulnerable groups. As next steps, the Advisory Council will meet again virtually and in-person in Bangkok.
